I noticed a sign on a blood pressure machine at a gym recently, and it burned me up (southern for pissed me off)! Why? Because it was filled with some partially correct information regarding Type 2 Diabetes and plenty of actual misinformation. Take a little guess on the source of said information… I reveal it towards the end of this shorter 20 minute solocast.

Having a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes or pre-diabetes (which in my personal opinion IS Type 2 Diabetes) means your vitality is severely compromised. Most patients who receive this diagnosis are told the party line: “you have a chronic, progressive condition.” In other words, they are NOT told that this is a REVERSIBLE condition. Furthermore, by the time this diagnosis is given, the patient has been sick for many years. AND all of it could’ve been previewed and prevented if the provider had run a simple metabolic marker test and given appropriate reversal advice; yet almost none do.

This advocacy is critically important because it affects MANY meals — from what is served to your children at school and your loved ones in the hospital or senior care, to foods available to our military, food assistance recipients, the incarcerated and more.
It is imperative that you rigorously examine the effects of low (<100g) and very low (<50g) of carbohydrate diets on metabolic health. I'm a metabolic health coach with a private practice and also work for a diabetes and obesity REVERSAL clinic. We treat and heal people, reversing their conditions, using nutritional ketosis. The results are incredible and literally give people back their vitality. These simple tools are quite simply life altering. We've learned that 77% of the comments last time were regarding low-carb diets, yet you AGAIN failed to acknowledge this. Continue to ignore this cascade of research and you will continue remaining on the wrong side of history with blood on your hands. We should not be in a place where 88% of adult Americans are metabolically unwell, over 70% obese or overweight and at least 52% on the road to Type 2 Diabetes or already there. What you've been doing doesn't work, period, and it is 100% dishonest. I implore you to rid yourselves of your big food and big pharma ties and conflicts of interest in the name of human beings who are needlessly suffering, not only from their reversible conditions but polypharmacy and its side effects.
